A new beginning...

Hi, my name is Christian Stapff, and I am the Educational Services Manager here at Strathcona Park Lodge and Outdoor Education Centre. This is my first piece on the on-line diary. I will be your point man. Any ideas, questions ,and suggestions for stories are very welcome!

This is not a web-log (Blog), but it is a diary!

This diary has a number of purposes:
1. To give staff and those connected to the Lodge and Outdoor Education Centre an opportunity to share their thoughts.
2. To post some interesting and—I hope—thought-provoking writing.
3. Post alerts about dates important to the Lodge and Outdoor Education Centre.

It is my hope to post at least twice a month and, any wannabe, gonnabe writers are welcome to submit.
Since I am Guardian of the Diary (verbal, fire-breathing Dragons are a hero’s constant nemesis. Sigh!?), there are a couple of thoughts on what is appropriate. Consider the following important points:

• I will tell the truth.
• I will write deliberately and with accuracy.
• I will acknowledge and correct mistakes promptly.
• I will strive for high quality with every post – including basic spellchecking.
• I will stay on topic.
• I will link to online references and original source materials directly.
• I will disclose conflicts of interest.
• I will keep private issues and topics private, since discussing private issues would jeopardize my personal and work relationships.
