Strathcona Park Lodge's Alpine Chalet on Mt.Washington offers visitors convenient access to some of the best alpine and cross country skiing in the Pacific Northwest in the winter and hiking in the summer.
This showpiece Swiss-style timber frame chalet features open post and beam log construction and is located at Vancouver Island's most popular ski resort. Located across the road from the Green Chair and the new Hawk Express, and a short walk from the Nordic Lodge, the Chalet is our second gateway to Strathcona Provincial Park. Come up for some excellent skiing in the winter or to enjoy the spectacular high alpine trail system in Strathcona Park in the summer.
The Golden Hinde (Sleeps 12)
Three bedrooms with an additional loft, three bathrooms, full kitchen, laundry facilities, hot tub and sauna.
Main Floor: Entrance with ski storage area. Master bedroom with queen bed & ensuite bathroom with deep soaker tub. Loft with 3 single beds. Living room with gas fireplace, TV, DVD, dining area, 2 sleeping foam mattresses, and deck. Large fully equipped kitchen with propane range/oven, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker.
Lower Level: Dry sauna room and indoor soft-sided hot tub room. One bedroom with queen bed & ensuite bathroom and small private deck. Second bedroom with 2 bunkbeds (4 single beds). One additional bathroom with shower. Utility area with washer/dryer and indoor access to Elkhorn. (Is locked off unless the whole building is rented by group)
The Elkhorn (Sleeps 12)
Three bedrooms with an additional loft, 2-1/2 bathrooms, full kitchen, laundry facilities, sauna.
Main Floor: Entrance with ski storage area. Master bedroom with queen bed. Full bathroom. Large loft with queen bed and 3 single beds. Living room with gas fireplace, TV, DVD, dining area and deck. Fully equipped kitchen with electric range/oven, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker. Utility area with washer/dryer and indoor access to Golden Hinde. (Is locked off unless whole building is rented by group)
Lower Level: Large dry sauna room. One bedroom with queen bed. Second bedroom with 2 bunkbeds (4 single beds). One full bathroom and additional shower room.

Prices are in Canadian dollars, per night, and subject to applicable taxes. Two night mi
nimum stay except for holidays when a three night minimum applies. Holiday dates for 2009/2010 are December 18th to
January 3rd. Our Spring Break dates are March 8th to March 12th. Cleaning service included in price (up to 4 hours per unit). Additional cleaning will be billed at $20/hour. Check in is after 4 pm and check out is before 11 am.
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of reservation. Full payment is due one month prior to arrival. Cancellation policy: Reservations cancelled between 15 and 30 days prior to the arrival date will receive 50% refund of the total; within 15 days of arrival or with a no-show or early departure there will be no refund. In the event that we are able to re-sell the dates, we will refund all monies paid except a $100 service charge. NO SMOKING. NO PETS.
