Includes: Accommodation (based on double occupancy, and includes room tax), all transportation within the program, group equipment, meals from dinner on arrival day to breakfast on departure day and out-trip food. Accommodation while camping is in two person tents. Single accommodation in tents or lodging may be available with surcharge. Group size is up to a maximum of ten people with two instructors. All out-trips include lessons on navigation, wilderness ethics, natural history, foraging for edible plants/sea food, camp crafts and outdoor cooking. SPL's Alpine & Ocean Custom Adventures series is unique in that our leaders take you to wilderness settings where, for most of the trip, you are unlikely to come across other travellers. (Johnstone Strait is the exception, but the exposure to marine life compensates for the humans!)

Instructor/Guides
Our outdoor leaders have an intimate knowledge of the region. Most are graduates of the Canadian Outdoor Leadership Training semester program, and all carry Wilderness First Aid certification. Their enthusiasm and willingness to share their knowledge and love of the outdoors will ensure that your trip is unforgettable!
Arrivals and Departures
Check-in time is after 4:00 p.m. and departure time is before 11:00 a.m. Every trip begins at 5:00 p.m. on arrival day.
Reservations and Cancellations
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required on all accommodation and packages to confirm space, with the balance due upon arrival. If a client cancels, arrives late, or leaves early for any reason there will be NO refund. All payments may be made in cash, on Mastercard, Visa or Interac, or, if time permits, by cheque or money order. All prices are shown in Canadian funds and are subject to 5% GST.
Medical and Travel Insurance
Please check your medical coverage at the time of booking to make sure that it is up to date and adequate. It is recommended that cancellation insurance is purchased for protection in the event of illness. This can only be done at the time of booking through Strathcona Park Lodge. Participants in all programs will be required to complete the medical and liability forms sent to all registrants. |
